USA SPEC PA11-HON2 05 TSX XM with NAV

I got the USA SPEC PA11-HON2 PIE HON03-F/MM pass tru adapter for my 05 tsx NAV with XM from enfigcarstereo and crutchfield.

Installation took about 30 mins, I can control the track up and down from the dashboard as well as the steering wheel.
Sound quality is exc, and the set up is very stable.
I would recommend this for anyone looking for an ipod hook up solution.

Sounds pretty good, not clean as CD or ipod direct connect.

It doesn't disable your in-dash CD changer does it? I am looking for a dedicated iPod integration kit for my 2006 TSX w/ nav & XM, which still retains all original functionality, including armrest aux-in if possible.

Also, does it have a spare RCA aux-in set on the unit? I believe that's what I see in the crutchfield picture. So for instance, you could add another aux (such as a/v device, dvd player) to it as well as use it for iPod functionality?

USA Spec PA 11 from Crutchfield

and Passthr PIE F/MM

REACH:
It doesnt disable your indash CD changer or XM radio.
It does have RCA inputs, whenever you unplug the ipod cable the RCAs will switch on.
I havent had a chance to try that yet, so far I had this adapter about one week now and working perfertly with both of my ipods.

Reach, I have the same car, and am looking for the same gizmo. I was very interested in Acura's own "Music Link System", but a) I hear it may not be supported on the TSX despite the early word that it would; and b) it does not work too well. Check out http://www.nuxx.net/hondamusiclink.html and http://www.hondaforums.com/index.php...0&#entry128207. What a pity!

Have you, or anyone else, looked more into the Acura factory adaptor?

Cheers,
Reza

rtaheri: The "Music Link" product doesn't work and was pulled in January. We discussed it a fair bit here on the board, and people were very dissapointed, but it is safest to go with a different product. Several members had it and all discussed the same failures.

RE: 2006 TSX w/ navi: OK, I think I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger on this one. Someone needs to test it. I have never been completely happy with the analog aux-in for my iPod, and quite honestly $120 is worth it if it helps the audio signal enough.

In addition, the extra RCAs will be nice for expanded functionality and the future A/V setup I have planned.

I Just installed the adapter in my 05 tsx w/ navi. Everything works. 20 min installation. Only problem is that I cannot get the HONDA playlist to be recognized. I have them labeled as
HONDA1 - JAZZ
HONDA2- Rock

...all the way to HONDA6 with songs in each playlist.

Am I able to view HONDA1 - Jazz in my Audio control???

Does anyone know...

For someone looking for a stable Aux-in solution (and who doesn't care about iPod or XM), would this USA Spec adapter work (with the Nav pass thru harness):

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Lbdnq1S...770#morephotos

Or if not, would the iPod USA Spec adapter discussed in this thread work without the iPod cable if I just wanted to use it as an Aux In (for Sirius radio)? Along with the Nav pass-thru.

If the answers to both my questions is "No", then would any of you have an opinion on the most stable Aux-in solution? I have a 2005 Tsx w/Nav. And I don't really care about keeping XM.

Thanks!

That one won't work.. it will fit older Accords.

You need this exact model (assuming TSX here...) "USA SPEC PA11-HON2"

You can get it from this link: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-l8Rj39z...o&i=581PA11HN2

Will that work as an Aux-in without using the ipod feature?

Ok...I'm thinking of getting one for my '06 Accord EX-L with XM. It doesn't have navi but if I want to get this, do I have to get the pass thru adaptor in order to keep the XM function?

It helps to read...

OK, I seem to have found one of the answers to my questions on the Crutchfield site:

Auxiliary Input: In addition to the iPod input on the PA11-HON2 there is an auxiliary input (RCA) for use with another source, such as a DVD system, satellite radio, etc. The aux input is accessed at disc 6 track 1 using the factory radio controls. This aux input can be used with or without the iPod connected. When using the aux input the in the Playlist mode, the Play All command is moved to the Disc 5 slot and the HONDA5 custom playlist is lost.

Which means I have yet another question (perhaps for Boylunching): Does one access the audio from this unit through the CD player? And not through the "CD-C" input? I'm thinking the answer is yes, but I'd love to hear from someone who has this to confirm.

Thanks!

Sounds very promising! I can't tell from the others who have tried the USA SPEC unit in these threads - will this device work on an '04 TSX without navigation? Does anyone have one working on the '04 TSX without navi? Please let me know.
