Well, I just bought a visor monitor and a Rear view view montor, with a reg din size dvd player. WOuld it be worth gettin a tv tuner?

LOL... No, most tv tuners I've ever dealt with suck.. Reception is usually horrible and you only get a few stations.. IMO not worth the money.. I just threw in a PS2 so I had video games and dvd player..

 

cool thanks! So you basicly used the tv tuner for a ps2 hook up.

 

I just checked out the auction.. A regular setup with a in-dash tv comes with a "Brain".. But in your case the brain would be the "Tv-Tuner"... And I see you have several inputs which is nice..

 

What in dash dvd player did you get? I'm sure you'll like the setup you're getting and it will be nice to have that player. I'm sure you will upgrade to something more in the future..

 

Yea, I got a soundstream dvd,mp3, dvd+r all that stuff. Its an alright dvd player. Now that I have it installed Im having problems with one visor monitor, the picture is black and white. Any ideas? Also the sound is all weird ,it is only at one volume level which sucks. The subs arent working when I put my pioneer deck on aux. THeres this crazy high pitched sound when I accelerate while playing the dvd. The subs dont work when Its on AUX. Damn.. Too much to list. Help!?

 

Alll symptoms could be caused by a bad ground.. Check all your grounds first.. The high pitch noise is road noise.. Either caused by a bad ground or bad wiring..
Black and white seems like the Rca connection.. I'd check there first for that one..

But first check your grounds b/c a bad ground always leads to mysterious problems..
