Does anyone have a list for stock TSX speaker specifications? If so can you please post them.

Are you asking for what size speakers are in each OEM location?

Sorry - I should have been more specific. I want to know sorta like this:

Design 3-way
Tweeter Design 1" Semi-dome
Tweeter Composition Mylar
Woofer Composition Transparent polymer
Woofer Surround Foam
Sensitivity 93 dB
Frequency Response 50 - 20k Hz
RMS Power Range (Watts) 2-70
Peak Power Handling (Watts) 210
Impedance (Ohms) 4
Top-mount Depth (Inches) 2 15/16
Bottom-mount Depth (Inches) 3 5/16

I have not been able to locate this anywhere.

There are two sets of specs: physical measurements, and acoustic/electrical measurements.

Physical measurements in basic form are freely available.

Electroacoustic measurements aren't available from the manufacturer (like they are in aftermarket systems), and none of us in the aftermarket have cared enough to subject these speakers to the battery of tests that are required to tell you the Fs, the xmax, the Vas, the Zmax, the Re, etc., etc.

I can tell you that the 6x9 (which was lying here when I read your post) has a resonant frequency of 72 Hz or so, fairly high for a "sub", and since the impedance is like 30 ohms at that note and averages about 4 ohms, that is a VERy high peak, meaning it has a very high "Q", or, that it is a one-note woofer that plays one note much louder than all the rest.

The tweeter has a resonant frequency of about 2500 Hz - that's a pretty high Fs (my Sca-made Alpine X's have an Fs of 850 Hz). Pretty low impedance peak indicates the presence of ferrofluid damping. The rule of thumb is that a tweeter xover should be at least one octave higher than the resonant Fs for a 2nd order xover, and two octaves or more higher for a 1st-order xover. Since the TSX amp uses a series cap on the tweet for a first-order xover, that means that the tweeter in the TSX system should have a xover point of 10K Hz. That's way too high. All the speaker systems we carry use an xover point of no higher than 3K for separates with tweeters, even though it acts as a limit on how cheap a set of separates we can have.

Didn't have any of the door speakers handy when I wrote this. If this isn't the kind of spec you meant, please be aware that electrical power handling and acoustic freq response specs are created by the marketing department, and really don't mean anything about the sound in your car.

So the 6x9's speakers are putting out low freq only?
Let me know.
Thank you for you support.

Yes, the 6x9's play bass only - and mono bass, from my brief look inside the amp at the xover board. What freq xover point, I don't know.

General FAQs about the TSX Speaker System
The door speakers are 6.5". I don't know what depth they are but I recall it being discussed waaaaaaay back (possibly in the Alpine Type S thread). I'm afraid you'll have to search.
