Will these two work together in such a way that I could control the iPod from the steering wheel via the iceLink and still have the ability to use my XM Commander through the RCA input?

no u cant unfortunately. it's either one or the other. i wish there was a solution like that. im having trouble deciding which audio solution i should go with

 

Dension sells a piece in Europe that splits the cable so that u can keep ur stock cd changer. Should be in the states soon. U can call Dension direct, ask for Zalman. He said the E39 piece should be in by the end of next month
