Question to those who have installed this kit for their aftermarket headunits: is there any way to use this kit to mount your headunit so a detachable face HU is slightly recessed inside the "door"? I am considering this kit, but don't like the fact that the HU protrudes thru the "door" of the kit, instead of having the door close over it to conceal it. I am considering a slight recess-mounting of a HU using this kit and making a plastic panel to put in the slot to replace my faceplate when I take it off, so it is not obvious to anybody outside the car that there is a 2nd HU installed.
