Trunk mounted CD changer bracket
Has anyone been successful in purchasing the CD changer brackets from Acura to mount it where the Navi unit would go in the trunk?
Every dealer I called said you had to buy the changer cable and the mounting bracket. There's a racket. I already have the Alpine changer and the cable, but I want to mount it where the Navi drive would go.
Any clue?

I didn't check with Acura but I used a mount I purchased from Radio Shack. It has two 90 degree brackets (which I had to use pliers to bend a little) and has an adjustable metal mounting band between them. The two brackets get screwed into the NAVI mounting holes and you attach your changer and it's mounting brackets to the adjustable metal mounting band.
I used this for mounting my hard disk based NEO35 mp3 player in my TL. I finally borrowed a digital camera so now I just have to figure out how to post pics... Do I have to pay to use PhotoPoint.com?
Sorry for the lame explanation... once you see the product, you'll understand what I'm talking about. I couldn't find the part # on Radio Shack.com but I have it at home. It costs under $5 bucks. And it's black... and comes in a small box about 2x1x8...

I just remembered that I didn't use the 90degree brackets that came with it. I purchased these separately - if you look at the pic, I used the one on the right.
You'll need to go to a hardware store for the appropriate screws and bolts. I forgot what kind of screws... I threw the bag away...

Thanks
BTW, Photopoint is free if you only store a few photos. Yahoo is still free.
