I think he means never heard of it, who know might be good, but it seems they don't even take pride in the 'looks' of the product with the ugly IR eye. If you hiding it them maybe.
I tried searching everything for a review of it, but there is nothing. I would just beware, it could be like the "Radio Shack" type products. Works for a bit then dies or a generic brand.

no no.... farenheit is fine. its good quality, and its what a ton of people have for dvd players if they aren't in dash. I've seen them in a bunch of really nice systems...they arent top of the line or anything but they aren't going to break. its not much on looks but they are reliable and do what they are supposed to. plus they are like half the price of a more well known name brand.
and if you buy from crutchfield they will give you a warranty

Yup. But their customer service is top notch. I returned defective stuff with no question asked, just called to get an RMA number, boxed it up and shipped. Shipping was already paid for.
