Is there an aftermarket headunit compatible with the NAVI?

I'm not exactly sure how the NAVI is wired up, but I know it interfaces with the audio at some point and lowers the volume of your music to give directions. I'm interested in possibly getting a different head unit for my car since I've been pretty under whelmed with the stock system so far. My biggest gripe is the fact that there's no random across all 6 discs, just random on the disc you're playing. I'd really love to throw 6 CDs in there and let the changer randomly choose 1 song from all 6 discs (If I'm mistaken please let me know!). I used to have a JVC KD-SH99 which is only a single disc MP3 player, but I could randomly play through 10 hours of music ...

In any case, I wanted to know if there was a good head unit to interface with the Navi, or if I even need to worry about this (I don't know if the Navi interfaces through the stock amps or not) ... Thanks for any help!
