Sub from Infinity FX

friend bought an infinity FX he has a sub that fits where the spare tire goes standard and its bose .. do you think it will work on our cl? and what would be needed to make it work.

Doesn't the TL have a Bose sub? I would think that would be easier to add than one from an Infiniti.

you're gonna need an amp regardless, minus well just buy a real sub

The sub could be used, as long as it physically fits in the car. You'd need an amp to power it... probably something fairly small... you'd also want a mono amp capable of powering a 2 ohm driver. Kenwood makes a cheap (and actually pretty powerful) mono amp.

For the trouble you'd go through, you'd be better off with an aftermarket sub. It would be nice having the sub totally out of view and not taking up valuable space, but I doubt you'll get enough sound out of it to make it reasonable.

I think Pioneer used to make a spare tire sub... maybe look on ebay or something to find one. That would probably have more output than the bose unit.
