sub box problem

today i put my box loaded with diamond subs in the trunk. since its a small box compared to most i was able to push it back pretty far back. what i noticed was that there was a decline in the trunk floor back there. so basically when i was driving and hit the accel, the sub box toppled over. nothing is connected right now so it was not to bad. i just wanted to know, had anybody noticed this in their trunks or is my carpet just out of place? ill get some high grade velcro and that should hold it in place from now on. toodles!

so i put velcro along the bottom of the box and the carpet at the back of the trunk. when i hit the gas hard, the box still topples and the carpet comes up with it. the back of the carpet bends to get access to the spare tire so it just bends the other way with the box. i thinkim going to have to use some wood and nails to secure this bastard

i have one of those slim boxes too and it used to topple over but the velcro strips perpendicular to u wen ur facing the box work.

i've seen the brackets on the FRONT of the box on someones car, but of course u wont do that.

i dont think brackets into the floor of the trunk would be a good idea because thats the gas tank back there. my box is tilting forwards b.c i guess the floor is like that so im going to try to even it out under the carpet. once that surface is flat, im sure the velcro will hold it in place much better.

u can bolt the brackets to the layer of carpeting behind the sub box. use 2 or 3 brackets. make sure u use adequate size washers so it doesnt rip out.

i'll be doing this once i get the trunk the way i want it.

goodluck
