The Mark II is the new, redesigned M6. Better accuracy and power handling, and I *THINK* a larger excursion. So all the new M6's are Mark II's

there really is no 'better' when it comes to speakers. 99.7% of the speakers performance will come from the speaker being installed properly, with sufficient power, and air space in its enclosure.

yea i know, but i heard that the M6 has a lower quality cone. diamond corrected this when they made the M6 Mark II.

I have a m6 12d4. Honestly look at your sub and tell me if you think there is anything wrong with the cone. I would get a grill for your subs and you won't have anything to worry about. I have a few dents in mine but it plays great.
