Post StreetEffects...Headrest monitor Questions

Hey Street, I wanted to know which types of Monitors have you used in the past for the headrest. I took a long trip and decided it would be cool for the rear passangers to have their own monitor. I wanted Pioneer's cause they had some new 6.5in ones coming out to match my head unit, but there is no way I am gonna pay 700 bucks each for the monitors, I don't love the rear passangers that much. A few brands and sizes would be cool... I was looking at 6 or 6.5 in monitors, and since your the expert whats the price for just the monitors. <I would love to send them to you but there is no way I could go without headrest while you were working on mine.

heck this place out very good prices but yet dont know the quality of it
http://store.autotoys.com/cgi-bin/wfp53024.storefront
and then once in click on autotoys top seller it should be the first one on the list where it has the 5.0 screens, $190 for the screen.

plus if you have the type-s im sure it would be best that you buy the tl-p headrest and put the screens that way i heard it looks retarded on the type-s headrests

Streetz can do the TL-S headrests also, he gets matching leather and covers it up nicely so that you dont see any gaps or anything, dude dont worry about the installs he does, its professional quality...

I use A LOT of different brands...SANTECA, like Nate said, Alpine, Pioneer, Sony, Accel Vision, Icon TV....I don't think I have used any other than those yet

Anyway, I have found that ICON TV by FAR is the best of all these. Picture quality, features, ease of use, etc is great on this product.

As far as pricing....The 6.4" Icon with remote control runs about $500.

I have not done the TL-S headrest yet, but I am dying to do a pair. I posted a while back about doing them at a discounted price. I would do the Santeca modules, like I have in my TL....6.4" screens, flush mounted and wired for $585 as opposed to my normal price of $685 which was a straight up install without haveing to MODIFY the shape of the headrest.

That price is for the first person to come to me with a TYPE S headrest. The regular TL headrest is $685 and includes the monitor w/remote, installation, wiring, etc so all you need to do is put it in the seat and give it power and video.

OH, I would only need the headrests for a day to complete them. I can send them back out to you the day after I receive them.
