Stereo Upgrade...i'm 42...not looking for a panty dropper...
 

Hey now,

I have lots of blown speakers in my 2006 TSX. I want a sound system that will let me have clarity and a lot of volume. I have recently acquired a JL Audio 4-channel amp and I have 4 speakers that I want to push with the amp...I figured I would disconnect the highs, and push the four door speakers and 6x9s with the amp. A channel each for the 6x9s and two doors per channel...that would bring me up to four channels. Problem is that the speakers that I bought...do not fit. So I need to buy new door speakers. My new thought is to buy good speakers for the front doors, disconnect the tweeters in the dash, disconnect the rear door speakers, and hook up the 4-channel amp to the front speakers and the 6x9s...unless the 6x9s are no good, in which case I would get new 6x9s and then have a channel for each.

I am not an audiophile...I don't want a sub...I just want clean clear sound that can get LOUD so when I listen to my old school punk crap...I can scream at the top of my lungs to the music!!!

So please, if you know your stuff, let me know what size speakers I need to get to be able to fit into the wonky holes with which Acura has provided us. Or just tell me what you did.

I guess this makes sense...so i'm out.
