steering wheel controls

This past week, they have been buggin out. Sometimes I'll hit the up volume button and it will switch the station and raise the volume. Same think with the down volume button. When I hit the middle switch station button, everything goes back to normal. I can't reproduce the problem, it happens intermittently.

Also, if I go with an aftermarket dash, what adapter can I use so that the steering wheel controls still work with the new dash. Brand and model number would be helpful.

I bought my car used...how do I know if it's under acura factory warranty? It has 80k miles on it and it's a 2001.

80k miles? Definitely out of warranty, unless it is under a certified used warranty.

In the Sound system upgrade sticky thread, I posted the part number that would work with aftermarket HU with IR.

I had the same problem the dealer took care of it... Sometimes I would hit up volume and it would go down. I would hit the down volume and it would change the station or track. It was weird... Its fixed now...
