Speaker Size
#3
The speaker size for both the front and rear speakers is 5 1/4. You can add up to 6 1/2 inch without cutting. You have to cut a wood ring that allows you to mount the speaker to the ring, and screw the ring to the factory location. At least this is how I added my larger JL components in the front and back.

Actually.....the Bose speakers are exactly 6" in diameter, all four of them. I replaced them with 6.5" Infinity Kappa 3-ways in the front doors and 5.25" 2-ways in the rears. I had to make custom adapters from MDF to maintain the 1.5" mounting depth of the stock speakers.

Hey sled you are running a sweet setup!!! Much props. I'm trying to decide between pioneer and alpine for my setup. Did you mount your XDV-P9 in the trunk? I was thinking of trying to install it behind the foldown rear seat access. Also how does your setup look with only one head unit instead of two? Let me know. I'm still planning, also love the new alpine F-1 cd and processor.
