SNHOND3 in '04 Accord Navi?

Sorry to post a non-tsx question here, but I have not been able to find a forum this good for accord owners (and caraudioforum.com has been down for days now). There is a lot of info here about the Soundgate Aux adapter, so I'm hoping someone here can maybe help me out.

I am wanting to install the SNHOND3 adapter in my '04 Accord with Navi and factory XM, and have been studying the mod guides here:

http://www.chrishorne.com/gallery/SNHOND3

and here: http://store.yahoo.com/logjam/snhond3navinst.html

as well as the one here in the FAQ. However, I am unsure if this would also work for the '04 Accord since it also has XM radio. I emailed soundgate and got this response:

>>Hi Mitch,
Actually, the SNHOND3 will work in the 2003 and 2004 identically.
However, the factory XM will no longer function, as it will need to be
disconnected to free up a place to connect the SNHOND3. In the future,
there may be a 'splitter' cable available, but there is not ETA at this
time.<<

I had mentioned the splitter modification in my email to them, but I'm not sure if they took this into consideration when responding.

If anyone has any advice or info regarding installing one of these in the '04 Accord Navi I would be grateful for any help. Also, I would appreciate any links to an accord forum that is as good as this board!

Thanks,
Mitch

If you have the Navi then their is a thread here that will describe how to do it. I don't blieve that you will loose the XM.

Thread on how to install

If that doesn't help post here again and I'm sure others will chime in.

Yeah, Ive seen this one already. Looks like this guy doesn't have the Navi...AND he lost his XM in the install.

I think the big question here is if the '04 Navi is wired like the '03, thus allowing the same mod to install the soundgate via splicing into that input.

Thanks,
-m
