SINGLE DIN problem

I am using a kenwood deck. Or more specifically a Kenwood MP345U, which is a single din. The problem is that when installing the single din, it doesnt fit right. There is a gap about an inch or so long. What may be the problem. I am guessing it is with the dash kit, but these are the only dash kits offered for my Acura 2000 3.2 TL. There is a gap between the stereo and the cigarette lighter.

When i see what the other people have done, they seem to have double din, as you all realize the factory stereo system is much bigger than the single din. Please help.

Get a single din dash kit and it should work fine. Did you get a double din dash kit and install a single din in there?

Didnt you already post this? You need to post pics or this thread is worthless! Did you buy the metra kit? It should fit the same as the double din kit with out the one inch pocket, or maybe your not installing it right?

Look in the Black Market and check with our vendors. THey should carry single and double din dash kits. ~$20

You should not have this problem if you are using the correct dash kit, chances are that you got the wrong kit. And a picture is worth a thousand words (hint, hint).

Some of the kits are made for multiple vehicles, so you'll sometimes need to snap pieces off for the deck to fit your particular car. I had trouble with mine not too long ago. The directions weren't very clear at all.

you may just have to trim down the tabs on the dash kit for it to work right
