Sat Radio Question

I really want to get into Sat radio for my vehicles. Would be great for my wife who has a 45 minute drive each way to work. What I want to do is get a tuner that has audio/video outputs so that I could hook it up to my Eclipse screen and see the stations on my screen. The tuner would be a hide away that would go under the seat or something and it would have its own remote to work the tuner. Does anyone know if there is such a thing. XM or Sirius really does not matter if it will work like this. I do not want to have to mount a display for the tuner on my dash somewhere. Thanks for any help.

the only way that would work is if it was either an eclipse unit or the unit has a video out which i would not think that many of them would have a video out...

Eclipse has claimed for several years now that they would be introducing an add-on Sirius tuner that would work with all 98+ ECOMM units, which your multimedia head unit would be. BTW- Even though I have XM in 2 of my vehicles, I feel Sirius has far better programming. I'm about to switch back.

There is no universal tuner (ie Delphi Roady, XM Commander etc.) that offers a video out. The problem with simply hiding the display is you would have a difficult time seeing channel info and changing channels even with the wireless remote.

If you are concerned about astheitics there are several brackets that are application specific to the TL and look pretty good. Do a search for Pro Fit VSM and Kuda (try Ebay for this one).

Thanks for the replies. I have looked at every brand I can find and I do not think anyone has a video out on their unit. I guess it is either wait to see if Eclipse comes out with one, sell my Eclipse and switch to something else, or by the universal and mount it somewhere. Oh well, thanks for the input.
