what i did...

take the boot off the door and car part.

take a coat hanger and push it down from the top to the bottom.

you will feel it from the out side when it gets hung up. you have to push it off the sides with your fingers.

once your out and on the bottom tape the wires to the end and pull them up.

it is a total pain in the ass, no doubt about it. but that was the easiest we got it done on my car.

a little soap helps.

Yeah I done the coat hanger trick with a few cars b4. However with the cl the loom is not at level with the door loom which I though would make it nearly impossisble. But since I now know it is possible I attemp it today after work. However I took both ends of the boot off and used a hanger and fished it up from the bottom (door side) up to the top portion. It was a pain in the ass at first but after getting the bends right on the hanger and some tire shine for lube it wasn't as bad. One thing I did but do know if you did is bend the end of the hanger and place tape on the sharp edge. For two reason one there is no sharp ends so you don't have to worry about piercing the wires and two the hook gives the wire a spot to tie on to which makes it almost impossible for the wire to come off the hanger while you are trying to fish it through the loom.

it can be done. it might help to unbolt the door stopper from the door so you can swing it a few inches wider. you want to be careful not to swing it to far, but it will be fine resting on the two hinges. now with a little more room, you should be able to get the hanger through the sheilding. it takes patience though. good luck

I know this is bringing an dead post to life, but I was trying to get some speaker wire into the door and had some problems. From the sounds of it, run the fisher and the wire from the bottom (door side) and up through the loom (car body side). Now how do you get the wire into the car? I fished up the wire using a coat hanger from the bottom to the top and got the wire in the door, but it's too cramped in there to get my hand in. Are you guys just pulling the hanger off the wire and then pushing the speaker wire into the car and letting it drop down? Also, on the car body, it's just one sheet of metal right? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I was poking the wire hanger into the car, but I could get my hand up high enough to feel anything!

woops that should've read I couldn't get my hands up high enough to feel around for anything. I spent another hour today and I can't seem to find the wire inside the car (still stuck on the passenger side, I haven't even tried driver side yet. I get it up and through the boot and into the hole on the car side, but I can't find the wire after it's gone into the car. Too much stuff and wiring there and I just can't find it. Any suggestions? Is the 6-speed any different in terms of all the electronics and wiring on the passenger side? It looks like the driver side shouldn't be a problem. The metal shape seems different on the passenger side versus the driver side. There seems to be an extra metal plate in the footwell area of the passenger side. Gonna have to stop for tonight, neck started hurting!

Finally did it. Took awhile. If anyone is looking at doing this, I suggest doing the driver side first and that way you can feel around and see where the hole is in the body that the boot attaches to and the direction of the wire when it comes into the car. I ended up feeding the wire from the inside of the passenger side and out. I stuck my fingers in the hole from the outside and moved the wire around until my fingers were able to locate it and then I pulled it outside and then fished it down the boot.
