Replacing Headunit with Factory Navi

OK Guys,

Here it goes.

Got the Alpine CDA-7998. Have street effectz making a custom faceplate for the car, but have 1 problem I noticed once I took out the factory headunit.

I realized that the current A/C Control Panel is attached to the factory Headunit. This is what keeps this piece in place.

How can I now mount this piece to the car so its in the proper place and still get the new faceplate.

Thanks,

Looking for Mounting Ideas for the A/C Controls.

P.S. My car has the factory Navi

Ron is doing your install and you're asking US how to do it.

Ask the Zen Master himself. I'm sure he has plenty of ideas.

Ron is only making the faceplate for me for the headunit, not doing the install.

Pretty simple the climate controls "plug" into the factory navi through some 2 pegs.... I would say that you would be ok with just epoxying the climate controls to the faceplate. Good luck!

I'll have to figure out something soon. To hot out to work on the car. Its gonna be 105 today. This Sucks.

I'm gonna try the metal mounting straps and find a place to anchor it in. I'll keep ya posted. I'll do pics too so other people with Navi that do this. Will have an idea.
