Replacing 03 TL-s driver-side front speaker

I recently puchased an 03 TL-s which seems to have a blow out driver-side front speaker. Do I need to take off the entire door panel or can I just take off the speaker cover to replace it? Will the cover pop off?

TIA

Lanny

i have the same problem but on the passenger side. i asked around on the web and was told that the only way to replace the speaker cover on the 03 was to replace the entire inside of the door. granted it was a dealership telling me this, but that is what I was told

You need to take off the entire door panel.

He's just talking about the speaker not the cover/panel.

Replacing 03 TL-s driver-side front speaker

Sorry, I wasn't clear on my first post. The speaker is blown (working poorly) and I want to replace the speaker. Do I need to remove the entire door cover or does the speaker cover pop off.

i just wanted to replace the speaker cover and i was told you dismantle the entire inside of the door so I can only assume that changing the speaker itself involves the same

The cloth cover? Yes, you will need to replace the whole door panel or get it custom fixed.

I know and I answered your question. You need to remove the whole door panel.
