Refurbish Panasonic TV unit

Hey I can get a Panasonic cy-vmd9000u and ca-tu7000u for really cheap, but they are refurbished. Has anyone had any issues (good or bad) with buying a refurbished unit? Does anyone have this setup? How's the sound? Video?

Let me know because I really don't want to miss the chance, but I don't want to buy some crap either. Thanks!

I bought a refurbished mini boom-box from Sony once. So I can bring it to the beach and shit. Well i nthe middle of the night it used to turn on by itself. There's no alarm on it, no batteries, wasn't plugged in. So I was bit freaked out by that experience....only new for me nowadays.

I hear a lot of ebay sellers try to sell things they say is new but its actually refurbished but I could be wrong.
