i had this same problem when i installed my sub...so i emailed ron@streeteffectz and he told me what to do...it is very simple....simply remove the plastic/carpeted cover from the trunk lid and find the cable for the truck release.....tie that down so it can not rattle aginst the body of the car and there you go.....

Unhappy One of the main rattles.....

...is the trunk latch - where the decklid "hooks" onto the metal part mounted to the body. If you press down on the decklid you can hear less buzzing. You might be able to tighten the latch but then you run the risk of your trunk not "popping".

Another thing Ron told me - and I did too - was remove the carpeted piece from under the decklid and stuff the back of the lid - behind your A C U R A badge and logo - with foam. I used some pieces of 2" thick foam and pushed about 6 pieces in there. There are some steel cross members that you can shove the foam behind. That's a good tip and it works really well. Of course put your carpeted, plastic molded piece back in the decklid!

I shoved a piece of foam I found behind the licence plate and that stopped that rattle. When I hold the trunk down the rattles go away, but my trunk vibrates like a *****, I could see the trunk vibrate like a feet away.

Thats the price you gotta pay to have a system......you will never get rid of all the rattles, even after you spend hundreds of dollarsan ad like fifty pounds. I did it to my last car and once you stop the rattles in the trunk they migrate to the bumper then the exhaust......never ending and frustrating. So as long as you cant hear them from inside be happy. Peace
