Radio has mind of its own

Hello all,
I previously posted about how my radio goes into code mode randomly. Last night it took it one step further. I started my car and it went into 'ERR' mode. I started to input the code and it went from ERR to CODE. I pushed the last digit, and I faintly heard the confirmation beep but instead of bringing up the FM, it went back to ERR. I turned off the radio, I stopped the car, and turned off the ignition and waited 10 seconds. Fired the car back up and still ERR. I got home and pulled the fuse. Waited 10 seconds and put it back in and still ERR. Nothing seemed to work. I was panicing. Then I decided to undo the Negitive battery cable. Disconnected it, waited 2 minutes, hooked it back up and wa-la, code was displayed. Inputted the code and BOOM, FM radio came back. This car and radio has a mind and personality of its own. So if anyone else has radio issues, disconnecting the Negitive battery cable is the trick.
