Hopefully, someone can help me out. Is there a remote control for the PS2 that will work without having to point it at the PS2. I have it in a place where pointing it at the unit is not an option and I want to be able to use just a remote control and not have to have the controller hooked up to play DVD. All the remotes I have seen are IR. I have a wireless controller but, the battery goes dead too quickly. Anyone have any ideas. This is for my vehicles, not at home.

 

i'm not terribly familiar with PS2 stuff, but i know from PSone days that pelican brand IR controllers were really good about picking up reflected signals, so you may want to look that way possibly
