damit stupid no edit message after30 min. went to add a whole page of text, tried to go back and I got erased
heres the pic
so this is what I want to do.
its a kicker solobaric S8l7
I have already removed the plastic locking pass trough.
I think I can make th box instead of paying 150 fo one.
keep in mind that I have a satelite radio attached to the back of the cd changer
I am confused on wich amp/speaker combo to get. 2 ohm or 4 ohm, do I get the S8l7 or the S8l5(the 5 has less features and I belive handles less watts) the l7 handles 900 watts but I think 300 is plenty.
I know I need a line output converter, but where does it start and where does it end.
I know that the speaker hooks to the amp but what does the
amp need to hook to? stock amp, rear speakers, head unit, ground?
I appreciate any advice thanks
Chad.

just get a high lo. Hook it up to one of the rear speaker outputs, and you have the signal from the Rca cable to the amp.
The Ohms of the sub you get depends on the amp.

Get the l7. I don't know where you got 900 watts from, that must be the max. Follow the rms wattage. My 12l7 handles 750 rms. The resistance (ohms) depends on your amp as stated before. Get the dual 4 ohm if you want to run it at 2 or 8 ohms. Get the 2 ohm if you want to run it at 4 or 1 ohm. If you have an amp that can handle 2 ohms, get the dual 4 ohm sub. The lower the ohms, the more power your amp will provide.

Retired. Not available.
This is the same setup on mine.
The sub is S8L7, rms wattage 450W.
You have to run it of an aftermarket one, no way to hook it to stock (I use JL 500/1).
The amp input can be from speaker wires via LOC (line out converter) or directly tapped (RCA cables) to the lines before stock amp.
