Potential Solution/Alternative to the OEM Mp3 Player
From what I can gather from these forums the OEM Mp3 player doesn't really cut it. Without the ability to read ID3 Tags pretty much renders it useless for those that put 100's of songs on a CD.
What I was thinking of doing is using my Kenwood KDC-MP6025 where the OEM mp3 player would go. (Assuming you can order the OEM bracket separately). The design of the unit blends well with the TSX interior I think - and the display is one of the best I've used.
Does anyone know if I will need any kind of adapter to plug my Kenwood receiver into the aux port? Or does it use the same plug that came in the box?
If its more complicated than a simple plug-and-go proceedure, I may have to outsource this project. I'm not an experienced car tech person, nor a stereo expert. Anyone know a good place to go in the Davis/Sacramento, CA area to get this done?

You should be able to use the steps and products involved with using the iPod (except you won't need the line driver at all - just set your volume at a safe matching level and then don't touch it. You may also not need the ground loop isolater, but have one anyway.)
See http://acura-tsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3148.
If your Kenwood has an AUX in (or you can get an adapter that allows you to run RCA's into the changer port) you could actually use the factory deck as an AUX source for your Kenwood. You'd have to upgrade amp and speaks, but I've been considering just such an approach.
Actually, what I've really been considering is the Alpine F#1 indash DVD/CD coming out this summer, with S-Video out. Run that to the navi LCD panel, run the head unit into the Alpine, and then the whole factory head/navi system is an AUX source to a full aftermarket system.

My error - sorry. I mis-remembered : )
There are a lot of posts about how you have to turn the volume on the mp3 player all the way up. I had thought that I had seen people recommending a line driver to solve that problem (which is what I would do) but apparently I got crossed up in my head with the threads about putting a line driver on the outputs of the factory head unit when adding an amp.
Sorry about the bad info there...

Wha? Not sure what you mean, sorry.
Your Kenwood has RCA audio outputs. The adapter mentioned in that thread has RCA audio inputs. Connect the two. The KW will play through the Soundgate adapter.

Won't the Honda P/N 08A31-0E1-010 part plug right into the back of the Kenwood? I might not even need to use the RCA audio ports and save myself the cost of $99 from buying the SNHOND3

I am looking at the install instructions here:
http://www.handa-accessories.com/tsx/08A0308B06.pdf
No, the Honda cable doesn't plug into the back of the Kenwood. That would be cool, but no. There's no stndard for those things. Heck, Honda won't even use RCA cables!
If it looks like it could fit, don't try it - you would probably blow something up.

I'll be sure to post some pics too so people can see how it turns out.
Has anyone found the cheapest price online for the OEM Mp3 dash kit (just the frame part), the honda 08A31-0E1-010 part, and the SNHOND3?

I'll answer my own post:
Only price for the SNHOND3 as of right now is $99. Can be found at Logjam Electronics.
The Mp3 dash kit or (08B06-SEC-210) can be found at Sunnyside Acura for $78.
The 08A31-0E1-010 honda cable can be found at Cheap Honda Parts for $29.
I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of my install process with the hopes that it will help some people out.
