Exclamation PLS HELP Speaker Install Made All Front Speakers Shut Off

I installed this in the Drivers' side door this weekend:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ihUGgih...ures_and_specs

I did just the driver's door to ensure it worked before doing the passenger side.

The speaker works great but after a few minutes (instantly at high volume), just the front speakers stop working (back work great). All 4, including the tweeters and passenger door cut out instantly when i turn the volume up above 12 out of 40.

Could this be because of the lower ohm rating?
Crutchfield support wants me to try the other speaker to determine if its the speaker's faulty wiring and the stock head unit is going into safety mode. I am afraid if i put speaker #2 in the driver door, i wont replicate the issue until everything is put back together again (ugh how annoying).

Has anyone experienced this? Any electrical engineers that can shed some light on my issue?

I'm gonna guess its because those are 2 ohm speakers and the stock ones are 4 ohm. That's what the system is designed to run on, and I'd wager its not 2 ohm stable. Its most likely overdriving and therefore overheating the factory amp and its going into protection.
