pioneer v.s cerwin vega

I'm lookin to replace my door speakers next weekend, and i was wondering what u guys think, I listen to the both and i kinda like the vega's but i hear the pioneers a really nice and sound better once they are actually in a vehicle(I listen to them at Best Buy). BTW I do want 6.5 right i need to make sure that they don't have to cut anything so i think 6.5s are the way to go, but if anyone knows different i would appreciate their input.

thanx

I have Cerwin Vega high end version in my home theatre. My Centre channel is has an astonishing 2 x 6.5" speakers built in it, costed me $190US ($299 cdn w/taxes/extended warranty). The Centre channel is soooooooo clear that you'll be surprised at the sound quality.

Anyways, CERWIN VEGA are the most UNDERESTIMATED speakers on the market!

The store where I bought my Sony Xplod Mobile ES deck, 2 x 12" Sony Xplods and interior speakers (6.5's and 6x9's) DID not SELL Cerwin Vega CAR AUDIO. I ended up BUYING Infinity Reference 2ways.

I WISHED I had gotten Cerwin Vega for my car's SUBWOOFERS and my INTERIOR speakers.

You'll agree with me on the Cerwin Vega issue in terms of them being UNDERRATED ... Any Cerwin Vega speaker can handle INSANE amounts of BASS and puts out soooooo much TREBLE, that it can be tuned to cater to almost all demographics!

If I had to buy speakers again, and had the option of Cerwin Vegas for my SUBWOOFERS and interiors speakers, I jump the gun and buy them! You can't believe the value Cerwin Vegas provide you, Infinity's are very good but, I feel that you pay for the Infinity 'name'.

Why just these two choices? Why not focals, JL, Infinity, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine, Kenwood, blah blah blah?

hehe, try to LIMIT choices, that way they can make a decision rather than become even more fickle-minded or confused.

Cerwin Vega, MTX (only MTXs that suck are the ROAD THUNDER SUBwoofers) or Infinity are great speakers.

You can get MTX components for the price of Infinity Coaxials.

I don't know a whole lot about JL Audio but, I gather that they are known for Subwoofers more than coaxials/components.

I just had Cerwin Vega TI-62 speakers put in my doors (TL-S) and they had to cut a wider hole to get it in there properly. If you're not wanting to alter the car, I don't think the CV's are right for you.

whatever you buy, most likely you will have problems installing anything 6.5. i installed 5.25 mids in my doors, diamond audio motorsports and they barely fit...

as for your question...the higher u can go, the better in car audio. speakers are all made by pretty much the same materials...and pioneer/CV are in the same league as far as the best buy options you have
