Pioneer DEH 6200

My son's Pioneer CD player is acting funny. The detachable faceplate with sometimes not illuminate when closed until I slu=ightly press the bottom of the faceplate - acts like a short/bad contact somewhere. Anyone else have this problem with Pioneer faceplates? Any suggestions for fixing this problem?

Check your contacts on the front of the HU where the faceplate contacts touch. You will notice how they are flexible - a few may just be sprung too far back to make contact with the faceplate. I used a jewelers screwdriver to bend them back.
