I am shopping for a new battery as my current one is about dead. I am thinking I want a Yellow Top, I have seen some discussions on the 51r with reversed terminals but they also make a 51 with standard terminals. I have done a few searches and done see anyone with a starned 51. Is the 51r the way to go?

If you are going to upgrade your battery cables it doesnt matter which one you choose. But if you are going to keep the factory battery cables I would go with the 51R. The cables will be the perfect length to the terminals. You know you will need to to get a new battery tiedown, we have the power wheels tiny battery in our cars. here is the one i bought, a little pricey, but looks good. Battery Tie Down
