Non-fading bass in stock system?

Non-fading bass in stock system?
Got a question for stock audio owners:
Before I modded my system, I remember checking the 6x9 woofers with the fade all the way forward and thinking I was getting output from them. I suggested to a few people to try running the fader all the way forward, as I did for a whiel, to get rid of the R door speaker sound and make the F imaging better. I did this for a while and remember hearing bass.
When I tested iokua's car on Sunday, we did the fader-forward trick, and the 6x9's dropped out! No movement! Reached underneath and touched them to see!
Can somebody with the stock audio system run the fader forward and see if you get sound from the 6x9's? Either there is a difference in the two cars or I did a crappy job of testing (I knew I was swapping everything out anyway, and it's my wife's driver, not mine, but still, it's irritating...)

What up Eld,
If I fade to the front, then all the sound to the 6x9's do drop out. I have my 6x9s disconnected though, but I tap into them to get the sound for my bass amp. So when I fade to the front, then I can definitely notice that there is no sound going to the 6x9 output since I'm not getting any thump in tha trunk.
