Sounds like you don't have bluetooth powered on. Your phone probably turns it on when you pair it, then shuts it off. Most phones have an on/off for bluetooth, simply because it draws more battery power. You may want to try that.

From what I've heard...

I was told that Nokia has issues with their bluetooth pairing, particularlly in the 3600 model. An AT&T rep told me that the original promo Nokia 3600 had HUGE issues, which delayed the launch of the 3600.

I was also told by a Cingular rep that Nokia only wanted their phones paired with Nokia bluetooth headsets. So we tested the Nokia phone with a Nokia headset and no problems, but when you tried to pair it up with another brand of headset (we tried with a jabra and Sony Ericsson) it would last for a call or two, but the Nokia headset had no problem whatsoever. (and the Nokia headset is not cheap)

I'm currently with Cingular and have the Sony Ericsson T616 which gives me problems with transfering once in a while, but thats about it. I have 4 jabra headsets floating around at all time and can't imagine life without bluetooth! I'm a heavy user of minutes (between 5000 and 7000 a month).

Does anyone know if there is going to be a firmware update for the bluetooth for the TL? I am wondering if my transfering problem could be part of a firmware issue?

Hope this was helpful.

My Nokia 6600 had problems connecting with my TL also. They just couldn't get along. One of them had to leave and it's not my TL.

I also have a 3650 and don't have to pair every time. Did you set the HandsFreeLink connection as "authorized" in the phone?

I have had other problems with this phone not always sending audio to the car if I leave the phone in the car overnight. Sometimes I have to disconnect then reconnect the bluetooth connection. I think that's the phone's fault - the car seems to be functioning fine.
