No backlight on Nav screen...
I did the whole conversion and everything, however there is no backlight on the screen. According to this diagram, there is a wire for backlight that goes to the fuse panel. Thats where I wired it and it still is not working. Any insight would be helpful..
Thanks

if you mean the top wire on the diagrams (back lt that contines to REVERSE RELAY), its for the reverse lights, not a back light for the navi. just my thoughts

like csmeance said that wire is for "backup lights" it connects the reverse relay that u can either tap that fusebox or u can actually tap it in the trunk since there is a junction there.
What exactly are you not seeing on your nav screen? Is it just blank? I'd double check your RGB ground and shield wires again. Also make sure u are using shielded cables for those wires and also the data wires...
Also check those power wires make sure u have one connected to hot all the time "b+" and one connected to the accessory "ACC"

If i take an LED flashlight to the screen, i can see the display where it tells me to enter the code and then it tells me that the door is open to the drive or there is no disc in the drive (there is no disc). Otherwise its just black when i take the light away. (I run into this all the time when I'm testing laptops at work [i own a computer recycling company]) Everything is connected correctly. I used sheilded wire for the Data+ and - and for the RBG, The composite, and the ground. Also sheilded for the sound wire that goes to the head unit. I tested all the wires with a volt meter for connectivity and resistance and everything checked out. As of right now, everything is pointing at a bad screen bulb...
When i turn the ignition to I, it "turns on" not the backlight, but the whole system..
