What is the type of Audiobahn 12" sub that you are going to get??? Depending on the sub definatly depends the area/size of the box, and of course you will have to get a box that fits the 12" round sub... About just changing your 10" Jensons for the 12"Audiobahn (which is a great choice ) it also depends what Audiobahn Sub you are getting to see if your amp is powerfull enough to push the subs...

they are two audiobahn 12 in. aw1206t models. i have a alpine v12 amp. im not sure what watts it puts up but it says its a mrv-f307 model and it is 90w x 4 ch max or 240 w by 2 ch max. that amp prolly sucks so if it does, does anyone have any ideas for a higher wattage amp for only like 100-200$?

Ok...Well I can tell you that the cut out of the whole on your "new" box has to be 10 7/8" so the diameter has to be a 12 1/2"... The mounting depth i can also give you which is 6 3/4" ... that is is you really want these Flame Q's 1100 RMS subs... which i think are pretty cool looking... I normally recomend the AWT12X which are the linear compression subs from audiobahn... 3000 RMS... used in competitions ... My next system upgrade...
Now for the amp... any brand amp will do... as long as it pushes at lease 6 to 800 watts per channel and make sure its a mono 1ohm stable... these subs can also run on a 2 to 4 ohm FYI... still i wouldn't mix and match... go audiobahn all the way... i speak from experiance and i'm displeased with my mixed and matched system...
Right now i'm pushing 1400x2 which is 700 watts Mono Boss Amp , to 2 generic/antique (in other words no chrome basket covering the magnet) 800 RMS 1000 peak Audiobahn 12's... but you can hear me down about a block so i'm happy...kind of...

your amp is definitely enought to get a good sound out of those subs.... no need to get a larger one until you have the speakers.. Try the V12 and if you don't think it's loud enough, up the amp... I'm pretty sure you will enjoy the sound of the V12 with the Audiobauns..I personally wouldn't say the V12 is crap...migh not be high end competition, but it's not crap.
You surely don't NEED a more powerful amp, but I'm like Tim "the tool man" Taylor....when it comes to power more can only be better!!

Your amp doesn't suck it's just not that powerful. If you are getting better drivers are 800 RMS you'll need to upgrade your amp. Personally, I would use your V12(90x4) for the front and rear fill. Get a set of components for the front and coax for the rear. You may even want to consider bridging the amp and sending it all to your components(180x2) and power the rear fill off your HU. Your components will sing this way. Just make sure you get components that can handle that kinda power.

let the chrome away from subwoofer and get one real subwoofer, wich one real amplifier. if you like to listen to music, and want it loud and clean, you won't be disapointed. there's 15" out there that will get terrifcly loud and sound good and take the space of two 10", and you can get a kilowatt of power for 200 bucks on the net. It is just example, but I mean, You will realize soon that about anything on the market can get louder and sound much better than jensen sub. I know, I purchased one to plug a gigantic hole in my previous car (home of a type S 10") and I listened to it just for fun, and it was not fun. I have nothing against audiobahn, and I can't say they do not sound right, but I can tell you one thing, those are rated 1100W rms, and your alpine can push out maybe 100x2 at 14.4V and won't even swing them . I you really want to go with a sub like that (i'm still pretty sure it's not the best sub that kind of money can buy), at least, get only one, and get a decent amp to drive it, and use your mrv-f307 for full range application. bridge it and feed some nice components. believe me, you will be much happier with your sound and much more in peace with car audio
