Exclamation New iPod interface

I found this Neo. I didnt know if anyone had tried this yet, and what your opinions might be. There is an available model for the '04 TSX.

I emailed their customer service people to see what they had to say about the navi/xm compatability. I dont have either. I have an '04. It will work with non-navi '04 models. I really wanted to know if anyone else had purchased it or had read anything else on this.

It's pretty much the same price as the IceLink, and the IceLink has a good reputation and seems to be smaller and of higher quality. No thanks.

I think the Neo has some advantages over the Dension icelink. With the Neo, you can use the steering wheel controls and headunit controls AND also the iPod controls all interchangeably w/o having to redock the iPod or having to first select which interface you will be using.

That said, Neo's customer support indicates they don't have a product for nav equipped cars, let alone the 05s with Nav AND XM.

All that can be done with the IceLink as well

All of the iPod car connectors coming out now are nothing more than IceLink copies, which is to be expected since there isn't much more that can be done with iPod audio input.

Really? I thought the instructions for the icelink states that you have to undock and redock the iPod in order to use the controls on the iPod. Otherwise, you would be limited to controling the iPod by the limited TSX controls only.

Oh, I see what you are saying now.

I think that is only true if you use the Dension UI, but I am not sure. I will let you know if a week or so when I get mine hooked up.

When setting up the ICElink you can choose the iPod UI instead. I prefer teh iPod UI over the Dension.
