New Install Screen and Speakers
This past weekend Installed the following in my 97 CL
KVT-815DVD new head unit
JL Audio XR650 (6.5" and Tweeter) for the front
JL Audio VR690-CXi / 6x9 for the rear deck
JL Audio 300/4 Four channel amp to power the front an rear
JL Audio W3 10" x 3 Three subs for that bump in the trunk
Punch 800 to power the subs
Streetwire cap
I am just getting used to navigating my way through all the functions of the 815DVD but I’m am loving it. The JL separates screen and I'm loving the new JL amp. I think I'm gonna replace the Punch 800 with another amp but I'm not too sure which one yet. I looked at alot of different In Dash Screens and i chose the 815DVD because of its features and screen quality. Plus the price wasn't bad either. I love the fact that I can listen to my iPod or to the radio and still have the video going. I made few picture slide shows and Some video screen savers. Which i like better that having a built in screen saver because i can use whatever I want. I installed everything so that it doesn’t look like I have a system in my car. no kick panels or anything. I did this for security reasons. I was a bitch to bet he 6.5's on the doors the JL's are deep. I had to fab some spacers and the factors door speaker covers barely fit over them. I should be posting some pictures later today, but there's really not too much to look at since i tried to conceal everything (except for the subs).
If you have any questions about the equipment or the install feel free to post your questions.
