You would need a 4-channel amplifier but suppossedly the Bose speakers have a lower impedance than the normal (for automobiles) 4 Ohms. I do not know what the nominal impedance is though and I doubt that Bose will tell you. A nominal impedance lower than 4 Ohms may cause problems with aftermarket amplifiers if you turn up the volume. If you do turn up the volume too much then any good aftermarket amplifier should be able to handle speakers with a nominal impedance of less than 4 Ohms.

If you want to replace all of the speaker components then I would suggest waiting until it can all be done at once (amplifier and speakers).
