Need your opinions

I currently have a 97 CL w/just a pioneer DEH-P5200 headunit and stock speakers. I am thinking about adding a 10" Infinity Kappa sub w/a small sealed Q Logic enclosure with a Pioneer GM-X952 amp powering the sub. I dont know much about subs so i was wondering if this will all work together and give me alittle more bass w/o over powering my highs. I mostly listening to alternative rock and occansional rap. Also my stereo says something about a sub woofer control, does that mean i can turn the sub up and down thru the stereo? Is it going to be hard to wire using a Lightning Audio wiring kit from crutchfield which is for 200-350 watt RMS? Thanks a lot

No more scratches thanks to the dumbass who walked on my car and had to pay to have it repainted.

I have a Pioneer DEH-P7200 with the stock speakers and a one JL 12W0 in the trunk running off of a clarion amp (about 200 watts mono), and it sounds pretty good. On my head unit you can adjust the sub for either normal or reverse mount. I can also adjust the amp through the head unit.
As far as the installation kit, I have no idea.

those kits are specifically limited by the fuse you put in it, 300 watts means they probably gave you a 25 amp fuse. Use monster cable, and don't use a blade fuse holder, use a glass fuse holder, it is cleaner and resists heat better.

The addition of any sub to your system will give it a better bottom end. It's probably going to be the amp that will determine if it's loud enough for you.
