Question NEED HELP - installing Basslink Subwoofer

I have read numerous threads on installing a sub and amp and love all the great information people have posted, especially Hokie D, with his great pictures of installing the Infinity Basslink.

But, I now have an issue. I bought the RCA connectors at Radio Shack and on the back the instructions state to:

"insert ground wire into hole on terminal plate, then loop back under crimping plugs. Crimp lugs onto wire.

Loosen screw on top of plug. Wrap CENTER CONDUCTOR wire around stem. Tighten screw."

My question is this:

I have a positive and negative speaker wire, so is the NEGATIVE considered the GROUND, and is the POSITIVE the CENTER CONDUCTOR?

I was reading Hokie D's instructions and he stated to "solder the positive wire e center post, negative wire to the outer post."

I assume the center post is the CENTER CONDUCTOR and the outer post is the GROUND?

I think it is starting to make sense, but any verification and help from the many experts here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Sal

WOW, no replies yet...

...and you guys seemed so helpful from reading other posts. Does no one have an answer?

I don't mean to sound like an Ahole, but I got the impression people here were really cool and helpful. If no one has an answer, then I understand, but if people are just not replying for other reasons, I am disappointed.

Yes. The center pin is considered positive and the outer collar is negative or "ground".

I got mine on ebay brand new for $200 including shipping. Can't beat that price when Circuit City is selling it for $349.

I installed it this weekend and it's great. Just need to do some fine tuning.
