Need help
 

Is it possible to buy 2 6x9 speakers or whatever it is in the back and use the stock bose amp. I want to get high quality speakers that output some bass, cuz i know the 2 speakers in the Cl in the back do put out a minimal amount of bass, so since I jsut want a fill in I was wondering if i could get 2 high quality 6x9 on the stock amp that produces some decent bass.

umm.....i have the kenwood 6x9s in the back....and from my experiece, i say it will give u less bass than stock...i think most stock speakers in most cars produce more bass than most aftermarket speakers when powered with an stock amp. but i kno your new aftermarket 6x9s will produce better mid and highs even with stock amp :D just get a sub if u want bass...

I put in infinity reference 6x9 two ways recently and it made a huge difference. I think its important that you get really efficient speakers. Mine were 92db I believe, the higher the number the more efficient it is. It sounds alot deeper now. You'll never mistake it for a subwoofer though.

Any aftermarket speaker you get will be of too high impedance for the bose amp... thereby producing less sound volume. You might be able to counteract it somewhat by getting a really efficient speaker, but I honestly think it's a waste of time and money.

Spend your cash on a sub instead and just add it to the stock setup... you will find it makes a HUGE difference. You can get an Infinity Basslink off eBay for under $200... not much more than a good set of 6x9's will set you back.
