if i am not mistaken the code should be printed on the side of the glove box if you can pop it out

That's the serial number not the code...

how likely is it for the dealer to have the code? the car was purchased back in 2000 in georgia. now i live in california. can i get it from either? help peez.

All you have to do is call the dealer and give them that code on the side of your glove box. At least thats what they told me since my car came without the code when I bought it used.
