Navigation DVD player door
For over a year now I have been having problems with keeping my navigation system working. It seems like some how (possibly due to my sub), the door on the navigation DVD player has broken to the fact where it is still attached but does not secure tight enough to activate the sensor on the DVD player which tells the system that the door is closed. With this problem I basically have the blue screen saying the door is open all the time, and cannot use it.
To get around this for the past year I bought a roll of clear masking tape and would tightly tape the door shut whenever I needed to use the systems but eventually the tape of weaken and im back to square one. Im tired of playing with the tape so im trying to figure out has anyone else had this kind of problem and can suggest a better solution without having to buy a new DVD player.

i want a lip..
my sister had the same problem in her 99tl-p. we did the same thing you did with the tape and all, but we ended up buying a whole new one from the dealer... i forgot how much it was but it was kinda pricey, granted she never uses her nav system.
