Talking Navigation bluetooth; send an address from phone?

Hi all,

First post here; already very excited about the wealth of information on these forums.
Sorry if this is a re-post, I was unable to find it anywhere else on the site.

I was wondering if it was possible at all for the car navigation system to receive an address via bluetooth from a phone app.. google maps for example.

As good as the navigation system on the Acura is; finding addresses and locations of places I need to go to is just that much easier on my phone; looking up addresses via google maps etc etc. There is an option in the google maps app to send the 'entry' (location etc) via bluetooth, email etc, and if I select bluetooth, the car navigation/bluetooth system shows up as one of the entries; but sending the address doesn't go anywhere.

Anybody? Is this not possible at all and I just give up?

Android 2.1 phone.
Acura 2011 RDX. Thanks all!!!

-Jimmy

If you can try to sync the address to a contact in your phone book, you can probably then import that detail into the phonebook in the Navigation system. Assumming you have handsfree linked up.

Hmm.... that sounds promising. Clever work-around (the idea at least). I'll give it a try this weekend. Thanks for the response, doesn't seem like my "want" is very promising....

Thanks friendo.
