Navi Help!! NAvi owners

as most of u already know.. im slowly adding the NAVI componets to my TL... since from the factory it was a NAVI.. but then the Navi parts were stolen and parts were never replaced...

so far i have added the TV.. and the climate NAVI control ..and the bezel...so the whole dash is put together..

Parts i still need to get are:
DVD unit with CD and bracket.
i have the antenna... but nowhere to hook it up to..cause im waiting on the DVD unit..

my ? is.. that nothing comes up on the screen .. when i put my lights on. the buttoms light up...but theres no signal to the TV...
i figured since i dont have the DVD unit that goes in the trunk with the antenna hooked up..i wouldnt get any signal... but after talking to another mbr here in the forums that sold me the bezel and antenna ..and other parts... he said his screen even without the unit in the trunk hooked up.. would turn on..and give him functions to the AC controls..he has the Harddrive unit.. no the DVD unit.. so i dont know if this matters or not..

can someone else confirm this please.. i think i might have a defective TV..

thanks in advance.angel jr.

Have your double checked all your wiring from the screen and the ac/unit if u have any of the ac wires wrong or not hooked up right u could press the ac button till the cows come home and nothing will show up. Can u at least get the monitor into diagnostic mode?

if you have everything hooked up except the Navi unit in the trunk. your AC controls should work. when your at the "no signal" screen.. push the (AC) button on the right side of your monitor. you should be able to control airspeed, which vents etc:

Congrats!!

Like I thought, the three harness plugs still needed to be connected to the DVD unit, in order for the A/C screen to be displayed.

Glad that everything worked out!
