Does anybody know if there's an update DVD ROM for TL Navi? I testdrove an MDX and it has a better navi- looks like it has a more powerful CPU and better voice guide. TSX and the new Accord seem to have the same stuff...

 

This is no doubt more info than many of you want to know about the next Navi release (LOL):

As most of you know, the “minor” update was scheduled to be done in the September/October 2002 time frame. When I spoke to them last Tuesday, they indicated to me the minor update (I believe to version 2.05x) is not going to happen.

They told me with the big release coming around the September 2003 timeframe it would not make sense to do this minor release and would instead shift the resources to the upcoming larger release.

My take on the issue is I wouldn’t be surprised if this “big release” scheduled for September also slips into 2004. This is just my opinion based on their track record.

Being I have a real old version in 2000 TL (version 1.9 or something) I did order the 2.05 update released 9-26-01. She told me it had over 6 million points of contact compared to mine that has 3.7 million.

One last thing…she told me the Fall 2003 big release price would be raised from $150 to $180.
