My new speakers are in!
Okay! The new DLS UR6 components arrived Friday, and I got everything finished up this morning.
So far everything sounds amazing! Definitely got the midbass response I was looking for. I set the tweeters to the lowest setting on the crossovers.
One thing I notice is that the tweeters
The crossovers (sans housings) barely fit in the driver's door--I think the trunk release switch might be hitting it. Passenger door was no problem.
The mids fit easily into the doors, and no clearance problems. My spacer on the passenger door was off a little, and I ended up having to use another 1/8" ring to keep the speaker from touching the door metal. (Didn't feel like drilling six more holes into the door.
My only complaint was the way the DLS tweeters look--I covered them with black speaker cloth.
I applied tar tape to both the outer and inner skin of all doors. Then I troweled on a think layer of latex caulk behind the speakers on the outer door skin. I posted a couple of pictures on this here:

I'll post another picture or two showing the mids and crossovers installed. (Give me a few minutes...)
The rears should arrive in a day or so--a/d/s 346cs components.
Hopefully these are the last speakers I'll have to buy for a long while...
