i know this has been killed but for the last time....

i have a 99 acura TL and a Iriver H10 mp3 player....i want to know if their is any way to hook up the mp3 player to the car through the external cd changer hook up in the back of the HU? i know their are converters and stuff but is their any that i can buy to use for my iriver h10?

also what is the little plug under the coin tray behind the black plastic piece that comes out...noticed it yesterday but dont know what its for...thankss

Its for OBD scanner to read engine error codes. Sorry cant help you with your other question.

 

I believe that if you don't have the changer you can use an SHOND3. It will give you audio in only, which should be fine for you mp3 player.

If you DO have a changer then you need to splice in an AUX3 signal switcher into the audio lines between the changer and the HU, and then select CDC before using any aux source plugged into the changer.

 

ive done research and found a couple audio input auxiliary converters...so far i have

PIE.....HON98-AUX
SOUNDGATE...AUXTOY1
BLITZSAFE...HON/AUX V.1
PAC...AUX BOX+cord...AB-HON
SSI AMERICA...NEO AUXILIARY INPUT ADAPTER

the cheapest i found was the PIE for $50....first off do you guys know any websites w/ better prices...tried ebay...didnt find any of these...

second....will the controls on the HU and steering wheel change the songs on the mp3 player.....ie next track...fastfoward....rewind...etc...???
