Mounting my P7300DVD and I have a couple questions.
Dear Acura Audio Enthusieat,
I've recently purchased a p7300DVD monitor and plan to install it in my 2001 CL this weekend. I have a few questions, however. For the time being, I want to use my stock speakers, what will be necessary to accomplish this goal? Next, I've installed decks in the past, and I usually bought a wiring harness that just plugged into my factory one, is that possible for our vehicles? Do they make one? If I were to rewire the unit, is there a free location in the fuse box I could receive power from? Finally, are there any tips anyone could give me that would assist in mounting techniques? I read in a recent post by the legendary StreetEffectz that the factory brackets may be used. My plans are to install this deck with a companion below it. I was thinking of an MP3 player, any other suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Do you have the Audio Video Master Unit (AVM-8000 or AVM-P9000R)? You will need this for AM/FM tuner, speaker amp and AV control on your AVX-P7300DVD. A after market wiring harness for your Acura will work with a master unit.

For starters, I would mount the brain under the seat if it will fit,but if not, up under the rear deck of the trunk lid.
There IS a wire harness, which I have available if you need.
As for mounting the headunit, just use the stock cage that the factory one is mounted in, maybe consider an eq of something like that to mount along with it, and you will need to make a face plate. Whatever other unit you mount with it, you will need to mount it directly to it as there are only a couple sets of holes on the factory bracket that will match up and leave the unit to stick out the same distance the factory one did.

I have that set up. I put the brain and the tuner under the passenger seat. You need a custom face plate. I got a guy who molded the acura faceplate to fit the 7300. I put the 7300 way on the bottom so when you pop the screen it doesn't block the top control panels.
