Looking for a TSX pocket DIN adapter

I recently came across a great deal on a Sirius Starmate DIN installation kit, so I grabbed it. It is essentially a DIN panel that the radio snaps into:
The results are VERY clean. I have it in the center "pocket" or CD cubby, but it doesn't fit completely inside, so the door doesn't shut. I thought about cutting it down with a Dremel, but that can only lead to tears![Wink](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Does anyone off a single DIN adapter or kit that replaces the actual cubby and door mechanism? I know that Acura makes an install kit for their MP3-CD and cassette modules, but are these single DIN units?
If none are commercially available, are there any custom installers that will make me one?
Thanks!
Todd

You can purchase the OEM pocket-to-single DIN adapter for the Acura MP3CD player seperatly for approx $70. It is a standard single DIN socket and would work for what you're asking. I do not have the part number for it, hopefully someone else can jump in and point it out.
I have seen it in person though. Its not a perfect fit, as it juts out a little bit, but it is sadly the best thing available for a TSX pocket replacement without getting a custom job done.
I've seen your existing pic and I think it looks better than anything that DIN unit will offer you.

You should consider drilling a hole and routing those wires around the back of the unit and hardwiring them, so they look more like this:

Of course, the best installs I've seen are the ashtray ones... ie:

I actually did route the wires through the back and up under the console. They end up in the armrest. I never took new pics ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'll think about the cubby unit - if it's not perfect, maybe I'll pass.
Thanks for the code, DiaBando!
